My Favorite Visual Effect (VFX) and After Effects websites

A few of my favorite Visual Effects/Motion Graphics websites. They have great tutorials, excellent products and pro tips. I utilize them all the time. I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into all the work these fine folks are doing. They all are very helpful to the VFX community and I applaud them for that. If you want to enhance, expand and explore all aspects of visual effects/motion graphics, these are the places to go.

HDMI Field Monitor review

Good field monitor review from Cinema5d. I have been looking for a small portable monitor for my HD camera.
I think I still like the DP-1, they all have pro's and con's.

Can you ever go wrong with Cannibals? Should be fun.

New Video I made for OK Go - WTF?

OK Go - WTF? (Precognition Colorama Video Remix) Unofficial O Raw footage by filmmaker Tim Nackashi. Visual Effects by J. Western Sutton. Music By OK Go.

http://OKGo.net

Composite Effects made possible by Adobe After Effects, VideoCopilot.net and AEScripts.com. This effect utilizes the Time Remapping function as the original but applied to Audio to Keyframes. The key frames were mapped to markers with AudioToMarkers script from Lloyd Alvarez. The markers are now based on the bass and snare beats, the background elements change to the markers. The "frame" from the original video is shown based on the marker number. I offset the frame numbers for each background element. Also the Twitch plugin was used for the occasional WTF transition. Thanks to OK Go for the opportunity to play with their original (and fantastic) video.
